The Four Candles

Once upon a time, there were four candles.
The silence around them was so great, you could hear them speak to each other.

The first said:
"I AM THE PEACE
but people are not able to keep me alive, i think i will soon have to go..."
The once bright candle light died.

The second said:
"I AM THE FAITH
but people feel like i am not necessary and useless, there is no point in burning any longer"
And so the second light went out.

The third said:
"I AM THE LOVE
and i have no more strength to burn along... people don't realize how powerful and important i am"
The light of the third candle turned  to a black, faintly smoking wick.


Suddenly a child entered the silence and gasped in shock "but what happened to you? You are supposed to burn forever!"
Tears rolled down along the child's cheeks, then, the fourth candle said:
"Don't cry! As long as i am on fire, you can bring to life the other candles again!

I AM THE HOPE"

Lyo couldn't believe that he had for once his whole family back. Life slowly took away all three of them, but one way or another,
permanently or not, they were complete today. He never stopped hoping that this day will come, and if happiness would be touchable,
it would be this hug.
